• Descendants premiered on the Disney Channel and Muppets returned to weekly TV
• The sorceror's hat was demolished at Hollywood Studios, removing a major icon from the park and freeing up the view of the Great Movie Ride
• Disneyland celebrated its 60th anniversary
• We started planning our WDW trip!

• Aladdin opened on Broadway
• At Animal Kingdom, the construction began for Avatar's Pandora land, now scheduled to open summer 2017
• The Festival of Fantasy Parade debuted at Magic Kingdom
• Seven Dwarfs Mine Train opened in Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland
• A Ratatouille-themed ride opened at Disney Paris
• In Epcot's Norway pavilion, the Maelstrom ride closed to be re-done as Frozen Ever After

• Disneyland Paris celebrated its 20th anniversary
• Snow White's Scary Adventures ride in Magic Kingdom closed to make way for part of the new Fantasyland

• The final episode of Hannah Montana aired on The Disney Channel (on a wrecking ball...)

• Hong Kong Disneyland celebrated their 5th anniversary
• At Magic Kingdom in Florida, Toon Town closed to make space for the Fantasyland expansion (Be Our Guest restaurant, Gaston's Tavern, the famous Tangled restrooms, Storybook Circus, and more!)
