MagicBands

Wearable technology is the in-thing right now, and Walt Disney World is no exception!  Disney's MagicBands, first introduced a few years ago, are a "bracelet" that you wear that is your room key, theme park admission, and more.  You can also link your credit/debit card to your MagicBand in order to make purchases.  They are available in a variety of colors, including the recently added purple, plus there are fancier, themed bands you can wear and also clips you can attach to bedazzle them.

MagicBands use Radio Frequency Technology.  The MagicBands will also link to the My Disney Experience app, which we will all want to have on our phones.  This will allow you to make fastpasses, meal reservations, and more from the app.  PhotoPass photos can also be linked to your MagicBands account.

Survey Results and WDW News

Thanks to all for completing the survey.  We are on the same page about lots of different things.  Here are some of the results.

Also, pretty much everyone is most looking forward to family time, Christmas activities/decorations, and escaping from real (work) life.

In case you don't follow a variety of Disney Facebook feeds, Twitter accounts, and bloggers...there was lots of breaking news from Walt Disney World this week.  I'm not sure what I'm most excited about, but the new Soarin' film is pretty high on the list.  Here are some links with details.

Officially Booked!

As of tonight, our trip is officially booked!  The plan, as it stands currently, is to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter with 9-day park hopper tickets.  We also will be able to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed event that happens on a variety of nights throughout the holiday season.  Next big deadline is June 21, when we can book our dining reservations.  Be watching for my next blog post, a survey for everyone to complete!
